Cuvée Isabelina is our most structured wine within the Colour Series, combining depth and complexity with the freshness that defines all Fontana wines. The aromatic profile leans toward blue fruit and floral notes, underpinned by Mediterranean herbs and fine French oak. The blend is typically led by Tempranillo from our oldest vineyards, complemented by Graciano and Cabernet Sauvignon, and occasionally small amounts of Malbec or Touriga Nacional. Ageing takes place over 18 to 24 months in large-format French oak barrels of the highest quality.
Usually released three years after the vintage, the wine is approachable on release, will continue to improve for four to five years, and can be cellared for a further four to five beyond that.
Cuvée Cobalto is an unoaked dry red wine that combines vibrancy with depth. Aromas of fresh blue and black berries are complemented by floral notes, giving a wine that is both expressive and elegant. Full-bodied yet refreshing, it shows excellent balance and versatility at the table. The blend is typically based on Garnacha and Syrah, with smaller proportions of Tempranillo and, depending on the vintage, Malbec or Graciano.
Aged in stainless steel for approximately six months, it is generally released in late spring following the harvest. Enjoyable upon release, it will evolve positively for at least two to three years and can easily be cellared for a further four.
Cuvée Alizarina is a lightly oaked red wine that balances intensity of flavour with freshness. It shows ripe red and black fruit, gentle spice, and a discreet touch of vanilla, delivering complexity without heaviness. Warm and generous without excess, the wine integrates oak influence while retaining vibrant fruit and a juicy, persistent finish free from harsh dryness. Typically based on Tempranillo and Syrah, with smaller proportions of Garnacha, it is aged for 9 to 12 months in larger-format, partly new French oak barrels.
Released around two years after the vintage, it is ready to drink on release, will improve over the following two to three years, and can comfortably age for another four to five.
Cuvée Celadon is a crisp, lively, unoaked dry white wine, defined by clarity and precision. Aromas of citrus, fresh grass, and subtle exotic fruit are expressive yet restrained. The finish is lingering and dry, with a distinctive mineral backbone. Like all our wines, Celadon is driven by primary grape aromas rather than secondary fermentation notes.
An ideal dry aperitif and a natural partner for seafood, pasta, and poultry. Typically based on Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc, and Albariño, the wine is aged on fine lees for around six months and usually released in late spring following the vintage.Ready to drink on release, it will develop gracefully for two years and comfortably keep for a further two.
